Santa Fe, New Mexico based trio HIDDEN WHALE is the latest project of husband and wife duo Jim Goulden and Angela Gabriel along with Scott Jarrett on bass. All career musicians and multi-instrumentalists, their collaboration, while crossing genres, maintains a refreshing style that is distinctively Hidden Whale.

While some might describe their music as Indie-Rock, theirs is a compelling combination of many influences, including the rhythms of Afro-Pop & Prog-Rock, the lyrical styles of Hip-Hop, and Classic Rock vocal harmonies.  They have been compared to bands as varied as Ben Folds, Steve Miller, Rusted Root and The Who.

The band's original music combines Jim's witty, introspective lyrics &
catchy, R&B-style guitar riffs with Angela's
enigmatic, funky blend of rock and world rhythms.  Add to that Scott's melodic,  punchy bass lines, and you've got a sound brimming with honest three-part vocal harmonies, raw emotion, & infectious, memorable grooves.
